i like school! ...wait... what??

i have to say it is one of the nicest feelings to be done for the day with class and work by 3:20. today for the first time in Hebrew class i actually followed what the prof was teaching. he finally gave us the chart that he's been talking about since we began last week and i didn't have too much difficulty making sense of the thing--thankfully and by God's grace. however, i really miss bill (my Hebrew prof in Israel) and am trying not to compare the two as much as is my inclination. my prof here really loves the language and does all he can to try and help us learn it. i think he also goes at a slightly slower pace, which helps me tremendously in the area of vocabulary.

as for the rest of my classes, they went smoothly today. i woke up bright and early to go down to the fitness center and that got me energized for the day. although the coffee i had later on was an added bonus to keep me alert. then, in my message prep. for women class, i had to give a 5 minute speech on a book that has impacted me. i chose to talk about The Hiding Place. needless to say, i was wide awake by the time i got out of that class--running on adrenaline for sure. after class i watched the video of my speech (yes, we get to videotape ourselves and then critique our own speeches) and did an evaluation of myself. it's amazing how much stuff i do that i don't even realize i'm doing. weird.

since then, i was in the library doing homework until dinner and then came up here to do some homework before going to bed EARLY!!! yay!!! so now that i've distracted myself with cleaning, organizing, brushing my teeth, and writing a post, i'm going to get to my homework so i can be all caught up and maybe get ahead a bit! woo hoo! days like these make me really love school :-) haha. never thought i'd say that. oooh, one more thing, i got in to english literature! i talked to prof horner this morning after class and he said it probably wouldn't be a problem adding me to his class and then happy told me that his dad said i was in! yay!!! that means all the reading i've done and notes i've taken will be useful for class rather than simply superfluous knowledge to edify and enrich me as a person. so tomorrow i need to get all the paperwork done for adding english lit and dropping biblical interpretation. but for now, it's homework time!
