reading day

back to work today with maya. we had a slower day today, as maya just wanted to make her animals talk. we played in her new little tent for a while and that was fun. we also had a good time reading, which i liked. we read the velveteen rabbit, which is kind of a sad book, but i remember my mom reading that to me when i was little. i enjoyed it :-) i also was making money, which is nice.

speaking of money, i also got my last paycheck from working in Israel. it was for $106.95! i thought it would be smaller, so it was a pleasant surprise to see the amount. thinking of my money situation for the upcoming semester, the Lord has been providing abundantly above and beyond what i thought i'd "need." He is SO good! lisa also told me today that she'd like to give me $100 to help me pay my expenses for the semester. all i could think of was the faithful prayers of dr smith and others in my life. the Lord definitely answers prayer according to His perfect plan!

i'm also really excited to start reading the bible in a year. happy and i are both going to read from the same reading schedule and keep each other accountable. neither of us has ever done the "read through the bible in a year" thing and both of us have wanted to, so we figured this is a good time to start. even better to have someone who's doing the same thing at the same time and asking you how your reading is going. what a wonderful boyfriend the Lord has blessed me with! :-D

well, i've been trying to read today, but i keep falling asleep. i think i'm fighting getting sick again, oi vey. the book i've been reading, the hiding place, is so good but i want to finish so i can start on some of the books i got for Christmas. i'm looking forward to reading the one my dad gave me about the life of joni eareckson tada since i've heard about it before. tomorrow i don't have to work until the evening though, around 5 pm, so mom and john and i are going to take my new digital camera into the store and replace it. yeah, it has this little slide thing that you open the camera with and it turns on. mine's damaged. bummer, but it was like that when i got it. i compared it to lisa's since we got the same one and mom and john said we'd see if we could get it exchanged. so we'll do that tomorrow and hopefully i'll get some reading done as well. i want to clean mom's kitchen floor though too. it needs it for sure.

ok, i'm going for real now. i think i'll get ready for bed and then read until i fall asleep. ahh, i thoroughly enjoy vacations when i have a good book to read. good night and God bless!

p.s. i miss you happy! ;-)
