good day

today was a really good day. i could say that nothing too out of the ordinary happened, but that's not entirely true. this morning, for the second morning in a row (praise the Lord!) i had a short time with Him as i ate my breakfast before work. i read psalm 26 and had a few minutes of prayer asking the Lord to be my strength for the day. even though i tend to talk to the Lord while i'm going through my morning routine, it was wonderful getting up a little earlier and having the time to just sit and be with the Lord. i honestly saw a huge difference in my attitude throughout the day.

at taft it was absolutely crazy all day. the day started with pouring rain but cleared up and brought TONS of people out. it was a good busy though, and even though only paul was around to help me stocking in between all the stuff he had to do, things went along smoothly. i was in charge of getting together a bunch of items to send to the farmers market this morning too, which i was a little nervous about since i had to set up the store to open at 9 and then had only an hour and a half to organize all the flowers, baked goods, and produce and then write out the price list on the wipe board and make a copy for the cashiers. oi. i don't know if any of that makes sense, but all of that to say i couldn't have gotten it done without the Lord keeping me calm and focused as He led me through it. He is SO GOOD!

after taft i came home and decided leave my hair in braids at the bug. so i got to talk to do good for a little bit, which was really encouraging. by the time i got to the bug i was already exhausted, as usual. but the Lord provided AGAIN by reminding me that i need to ask what needs to be done and do it. yeah, i learned that time goes by much faster when there's a bunch of stuff on the "to do list." AND... this was pretty cool.... no one came in the store at 7:55!!!! i don't know if you completely understand what that means. pretty much every night from 7:15-7:50 there is no one in the store and then about 10 people come in and stay until 8:15, when we are closed at 8. yes, it is a slight source of frustration. well, tonight the last person was out the door at 7:59!!! ok, so i thought that was pretty cool.

now i'm off to bed. church in the morning is going to be great! praise the Lord for His grace :-D good night all and God bless!
