Friday night festivities

the rain yesterday didn't actually stop when i thought it was going to. i walked to Dr Smith's office in the pouring rain, but it was kind of fun. i like rain, especially when i know i don't have to stay in cold, wet clothes all day. Happy picked me up from Dr Smith's office too, so i didn't walk up the hill in the rain either. plus i got to see Happy before he left for the game last night :-D

i met up with Ruth, Heather, Yulia, and Cliff to go to Seth's party last night (at prof Horner's house) around 5:45, except we didn't actually leave until a few minutes after 6:00. technically the party started at 6:00 but people were coming and going the whole night. we stayed until 9:45 or so when things were starting to get repetitive. mostly we listened to music, did karaoke, played some games, and ate lots of good pizza that Mrs. Horner made from scratch. she's a funny and very sweet woman and definitely likes entertaining tons of people like that. i'd say the Lord has gifted her in the area of hospitality!

it's possible i wrote earlier that i was unsure about going to this party. i know i'd mentioned it to friends around school, but i'd just like to say.... even though i'm not one for big parties, like last night's, i'm glad i went. there were a lot of IBEXers there and i had a good time getting to know some new people and hanging out with some i haven't talked to in a while. i'm glad for friends who help me to get outside of my comfort zone sometimes. thanks guys!

when we got back from the party, Heather, Eric, Cliff and i all played a few card games (go-fish and crazy 8s) and then Happy stopped by to show me some of the pictures he'd taken at the Lakers game. they lost badly to the Pistons, but Happy still had a good time with Scott and got to see the Lakers from really good seats.

alright, homework time! i have a few hours between now and dinner to get stuff done. plus i need to wake up Heather who has fallen asleep while laying on her bed and reading. hehe. bye for now and have a lovely Saturday! God bless!
