i'm back home in MA again and glad i got to see mello jello, becks and audge. bethany, mel's 8 yr old sister, was baptized sunday night and i had a lump in my throat the whole time. it just blows me away how the Lord can work in the lives of young kids. He continues to remind me that life just doesn't have to be as complicated as i make it. having the faith of a child, though i might think isn't that hard, has been something He's continuously challenging me to do. what a prayer huh? Lord, make me like the little child, who trusts in You without doubt, who just knows everything will be ok.
my car ride home today was a necessary alone time of blaring my music and screaming at the top of my lungs. lovely. i'm glad it wasn't recorded because my voice after being sick wasn't exactly holding up to the abuse. ah well, it's all good.
while i was in NH, i talked to a friend, rachel, about ibex and got her SMM so i could copy it. and for those who don't already know, the teachers tell us to copy other maps, so i'm not cheating :-) i think that the Lord is pretty amazing for allowing me to talk to rachel and she got me all excited to leave. although going to ireland before that is going to be absolutely incredible! i'd say all in all i'm getting excited to leave and be away. it's been a good summer with my family though, and i'm sad about leaving them. lisa and i have been able to spend some nights playing cribbage, which i've really enjoyed. i think the main reason i'm ready to leave is the fact that i'm leaving the emotional-ness behind me. it seems like things are just coming to a climax where tears inevitably await me. i think that will happen next weekend. hopefully it won't be uncontrollable. oi. i hate crying.
well, i need to get ready for bed and spend some much needed quality time with the Lord. good night all and God bless!
