thanks be to God

what a wonderful weekend i had in NH! after work on saturday i drove up and hung out with do good and his cousin patrick and friend steve. we all went to dinner and then saw a movie that was, well, let's just say that i don't think i'll want to see it again.
 
sunday i got to see everyone i haven't seen for the last month and a half, and it was also wonderful. there's a group of girls between age 4-9 that like to strangle-hug me and i really really love it! yeah, i'm a dork. i see these girls and everyone else in the world disappears and i just want to sit and talk to them and play outside on the swings with them. they're so cute! but after church i went back to the crabb's house and we all had lunch, which was lovely. and THEN we went to the best thrift store i've ever been to in my life and i got two shirts (gap and old navy), a skirt (old navy), and jeans (abercrombie) all for $8!!! they were having a sale that everything was $2. yeah, i took advantage. i love thrift stores! so, in wrapping up my silly stories, sunday night was so nice to be able to go to church and hear about how the Lord has been working and sing hymns with my brothers and sisters in Christ. then the hastings came to the crabb's house and had pizza and talked. i was a tad out of it and tired, but i had a great time talking to them and seeing them (finally)!
 
lastly, today i went to the first day of VBS week and was so thankful that i could go at least for one day. i was a little sad to leave knowing that i won't be there the rest of the week, but still feel very blessed having been able to go today! the Lord is SO good! i love how He works :-)  it truly is perfect and no matter how much i try to make things perfect in my life, i'm learning that His plans are so much better. in fact, they are above and beyond all i could even imagine. yes, i'm very blessed.
 
speaking of blessed, i had a really fun car ride home with dan. we were both pretty sick of being in the car so we blared the music and were singing really loud. then i told him about this huge bug that splated against the windshield on my way up to NH saturday and how i put on the wipers in attempts to clean it off, only to have it smear in a line across the ENTIRE thing. lol. apparently i described it rather colorfully since he was laughing so hard he could barely breathe. hehe. he's cute :-)  man.... what's with me and the cute comments? ok, time for me to go. we're going to have FAMILY MOVIE NIGHT!!! weeeeee!!! haha. probably watching chicken run. good night all and God bless!
 
p.s. here's the theme verse for VBS at my church this week. i thought it was pretty appropriate and a wonderful verse to remember at ALL times: "But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ."  1 Cor. 15:57  all i can say is amen and amen!
