my full day off

today was a relatively packed day off for me, which i enjoyed.

this morning i watched the movie anastasia for no apparent reason. ever since then i've had the songs from it randomly stuck in my head. oi.

after that mom, john, lisa, and i went blueberry picking at windy hill farms since taft doesn't have blueberry picking. the bushes were SO packed with huge blueberries. we each picked two pints in maybe 15 minutes, if that. john said he probably ate a whole pint, and i probably ate a half pint. they were good :-) there's a possibility we'll go again tomorrow after i get out of work! yum!

when we got home lisa and i played phase 10 and it was a close game, but i won by points since we both finished the last phase together. i haven't played cards in a while so that was pretty fun. i miss cribbage though. maybe we'll play that soon!

i guess yesterday lisa had started removing the wallpaper from the hallway and it was pretty slow going. so i had learned somewhere that soaking the paper with a water/vinegar mixture helped it come off easier, and it worked! it was a lot quicker after that. then we spend the rest of the day sanding the walls, getting paint, putting on primer, and painting the trims, walls, and ceiling. we didn't even finish, but we got one coat on everything. the ceilings are done though, which makes me happy. i think tomorrow after work we're going to try to finish the final coat of paint on the trims and walls.

phew, so right now i'm pretty beat. it's also been pouring rain off and on for the last 5 hours or so. with that came thunder and lightening that shook the house too. i like storms :-D well, i'm off to bed. night all and God bless!
