monday monday monday

another relatively uneventful day in the life of amy. today in chapel dan dumas preached the same message i heard over retreat. haha. it was funny. me and sara looked at each other like "what the? oh well!" it was almost as impactful as it was when i first heard it though. re-evaluating how i've sought to change sin in my life and have integrity.

after theoretical constructs of psychology today i was walking to work and heard my name being yelled and it was matt in a car with two other guys. he asked if i wanted a ride and i said sure and he drove me to work. then i talked to joanna at work about my date and she laughed and said "a lot of guys have been asking me about you..." i don't know what to say to that. i think i just need to keep my focus and not get consumed with boys! haha... but seriously, i think the Lord has brought this now to make sure i've actually learned what i keep saying He's been teaching me. He's so faithful!

tonight is the start of make-up-your-work week for me. so far i've done my homework for tomorrow and i'm almost all caught up with my reading up to today. the only thing is that i'm behind in doing outline sections. my oh my. maybe i'll just try to keep my reading going strong and then work really hard on the weekends on outlines. that's do-able. most of all... i need to keep praying for the Lord's strength. today i found myself praying a lot for God's grace and that He would humble me. i've started to learn that it's much more difficult to maintain a humble attitude before the Lord when people compliment you. that probably sounds really arrogant.... i'm SO thankful the Lord is patient and loves me even when i'm stupid and act like a jerk, and then reminds me that i need to stop being stupid and acting like a jerk.

as a closing thought for today.... i love that i have friends who are willing to tell me when i'm being stupid and not seeking first the kingdom and His righteousness (Matt. 6:33)! i also appreciate friends who encourage me with how they see the Lord working in my life. i pray that i can be that kind of friend.
