funny story

so i have a funny finals story to share. actually, it's not that funny, but last night i got nearly three hours of sleep before my final. i had a rather interesting morning. i think i turned my alarm off after setting it for 7:30 to get up and take my 8:00 final because ruth came in at 7:50 and was like, "uh, did you know the final is in like 10 minutes?" i didn't say anything, i don't think, but i don't really clearly remember it. i do remember getting to the final on time and i'm pretty sure i even changed out of my pjs. i finished around 9 and went right back to my room, put in earplugs, and slept until 2:30 pm. yes, it was nice, but i missed breakfast and lunch. i think my stomach shrunk though because i really wasn't too hungry all day and then just ate mostly soup for dinner. the soup was SO good though. it was a rainy day today so it just hit the spot.

as for my funny finals story, i was just going to say that i stayed up in the miklat until 4:45 studying for my final today and then got a 65 on it. bummer for the stinky grade, but i'm definitely praising the Lord for what i did remember. i honestly didn't think i would do that well. AND i have gotten all my grades back, and they are a lot better than i thought they would be. granted i brought my GPA down a ton, but i've learned so much and this semester stretched me for sure. as for my grades, i got a C in Land and Bible, which i've known for a while, a B- in Hebrew (after completely failing the final), a B in Jerusalem Studies, and an A- in Jewish Thought and Culture. i realized something about myself though. i'm definitely not good at memorizing a bunch of facts pertaining to history. i appreciate it and love hearing about it, but i don't retain it very well and am awful at telling others once i've "learned" it. however, when it comes to learning about culture (like Jewish Thought and Culture), i'm way more interested in it. i guess my grades might reflect that, but more than that, i think my prof for that class graded easier. all in all, i'm glad to be done all of my finals. i think i was the first one done with everything since most people have at least one final tomorrow.

well, i'd better get going. i'm starting to get sad about leaving since i was packing today. but i have lots more packing to do, and getting rid of stuff too. thankfully a lot of the stuff i leave behind can be used here on the moshav so it's not just getting thrown away. the Lord is so good! alright, good night and God bless!
