God is sovereign
tonight was Bible study and clint talked about the sovereignty of the Lord. we went through 1 kings 22. i suggest reading it and seeing how much of the entire situation was out of the Lord's control (there wasn't any part of it that the Lord didn't direct).... a lot of the examples clint used really convicted me. he had an illustration of when he was little and watching some tv show. this main character got shot and clint thought that even though the director was "sovereign" over the show, this part escaped his plan.
it didn't take much for me to tie this in with my own life. while i say the Lord is sovereign, do i really believe that He knows and cares about every little thing in my life? immediately i could think of several particulars that i still try to hold onto and don't entirely trust that the Lord knows what He's doing. what a sinner i am. yet how much greater is the grace, forgiveness, and love of the Lord!
so... all that to say.... i'll keep praying for the Lord to complete the work He's started in me. i'll keep persevering and seeking the Lord's face because He is all that matters. oh for the faith to believe that....
