another lovely day

yesterday was such a wonderful day!! i sat by the pool again for almost three hours. yeah, it was great. i have a tan :-D i got a bunch of reading done too. the Lord is SO good!

last night i went to tracie's house for dinner and we watched radio then talked for nearly two hours afterwards. it was really nice to just sit and get to know tracie. i talk too much though. she's funny, she'd ask me all these questions and then i'd go off on them and all of a sudden be like "i talk too much!" and she'd say "i love listening to what you're saying!" yeah, so we're going to plan a date night and i'm going to ask all the questions and let her talk. that's my decision. haha.

i got back from her house around about 11:45 and heidi and a couple others were watching once upon a time in mexico in the lounge so i joined them. it was rather bloody and they cursed a lot. definitely not a feel-good movie, but it was ok. then i went to bed around 2:30 am.

this morning i woke up around 9 am because the end door slammed. i figured that was a good enough time to get up since i'm working today and won't have the entire day to do homework. yeah, i know i'm not doing homework right now. i did just finish my allotted reading for today, so i thought that would be a good time to take a break.

i'm reading cry, the beloved country by alan paton for my cross-cultural counseling class. we already watched the movie in class and yeah, i had tears in my eyes. it was not a feel-good movie either! they did a good job keeping to the book though, so i already know much of what's happening and what will happen. still, i'm really enjoying it, though i'm quite sure i'll get misty towards the end. sigh... such a girl some times.

well, like i said before, i'm working today from 2-6 pm and then...... doing homework probably.... :-) so much fun! haha. i haven't done any outline sections so i'm going to get started on those right now and work more on them tonight. that's all i have left to do today, so hopefully i'll stop procrastinating and do them! speaking of procrastinating, i should stop doing that right now and start my outlines. yep, time to work. hope you have a wonderful day and praise the Lord for His grace and mercy!
