side note

i have a funny story. it's rather ironic actually. tonight i was talking to joanna at work and the topic of dating came up. interesting. she asked if i was interested in anyone and all the normal "dating" questions. so i explained that right now i have a lot going on in my life and lots of baggage that needs to be unpacked... in a way... and that while i'm not adverse to dating, i'm not looking. i'm seeking to be a sister in Christ to my brothers and honor the Lord in all He has set before me.

you might think... sounds normal... what's so funny about that? well... as i said, i was at work. i worked until midnight and as me and lavender were closing there were only a few people left in the library. this guy that i know slightly more than just an acquaintance is there and he's not exactly the type to hang out in the library really late. i didn't think much of it until he was waiting for me to come downstairs and then asked me out to dinner saturday night. a little ironic that the conversation with joanna, who doesn't even know this guy, happened only a few hours earlier. hmm...

so i have a date saturday night that i think will be really fun. this guy is really sweet and easy to talk to, so i'm sure we'll have a great time. but i just want to say.... dates are weird! haha. alright, time for homework. good night all!
