Bible study
i just got back from Bible study and it was honestly one of the most necessary things for me to hear right now. God is so faithful! clint preached about elijah when he was staying with the widow and her son died. elijah prayed that God would bring the son back to life and He did. the focus was on faith and understanding that when we pray to God, we shouldn't look at it as a requirement, but as a priviledge. clint said "we get to pray, which is amazing!" and tears came to my eyes. as much as i've thought that in the past and know this truth, i love when the Lord sees my heart and where i'm struggling and just brings me to my knees before Him.
there have been times where i'll pray, fully believing the Lord will answer my prayers, yet i give up when i don't "see" results. tonight was so convicting as i began to understand that the grace the Lord has given me is enough and more, and then on top of that He promises to listen to our prayers. we are such fickle sinners and the Lord loves us and is patient with us. He knows our heart and puts up with us anyways. what wondrous love is this, O my soul!
